Walking
From the central Tartini Square in Piran, head towards the seafront promenade, enjoying the views along the way. Once you reach the promenade, walk north along the water until you reach the main road. Turn right onto the main road (Ulica 1. maja) and continue walking. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the main bus station in Piran. From there, take a bus to Štanjel. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Štanjel, follow the signs to Grad Štanjel, which is located about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Look for the directions to the castle, and you will find Grad Štanjel at 7, 6222 Štanjel.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Piran. Start at Tartini Square, cycling along the coast on the promenade. Continue to the main road (Ulica 1. maja) where you will need to take a left. Follow the road for about 5 kilometers until you reach Štanjel. Be cautious as the route may have some traffic. Once you arrive, park your bicycle in the designated area near the bus station and walk to Grad Štanjel, which is about a 10-minute walk uphill.
Public Transport
To get to Grad Štanjel, first make your way to the Piran bus station located near the center of town. From there, take a bus towards the direction of Štanjel. The buses run regularly, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you get off at the Štanjel bus stop, follow the signs to Grad Štanjel, which is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Look for the castle, and you will find it at 7, 6222 Štanjel.
