Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Piran, head towards the main square (Tartini Square). Once you're at the square, look for the signs directing to Portorož. Walk along the coast towards Portorož for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the bus station (Avtobusna postaja Portorož). From here, take a bus towards Trieste. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. You will need to get off at the stop for San Dorligo della Valle.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From Piran, make your way to the bus station located near the main square. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading towards Trieste. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at San Dorligo della Valle, you can walk to Val Rosandra Nature Reserve, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs toward the nature reserve.

  • Taxi

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Piran. Make sure to ask the driver to take you to Val Rosandra Nature Reserve in San Dorligo della Valle. The taxi ride will take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic, and will drop you off at the entrance of the nature reserve.
