Getting There

  • Bus

    From Kranjska Gora, head to the main bus station located in the center of town, near the Hotel Kompas. Take the bus towards Bovec. The bus should take approximately 30-40 minutes to reach the nearest stop to Fort Kluže, which is in the town of Bovec. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as it may vary based on the season.

  • Walking

    Once you arrive at the Bovec bus station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Trg Golobarskih Žrtev). Walk straight along the road for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Ravni Laz. Turn left onto Ravni Laz and continue walking for another 1.5 km. You will see signs for Fort Kluže directing you towards the fortress. Follow the signs until you reach the entrance of Fort Kluže.

    Alternatively, you can take a bus from Kranjska Gora to Bovec, and then take a local taxi from Bovec to Fort Kluže.
