Bus
From Kranjska Gora, walk to the bus station located near the center of town. Look for the bus to Kobarid, which typically departs hourly. Make sure to check the bus schedule at the station or online to confirm departure times. Once you board the bus, enjoy the scenic ride. After approximately 30-40 minutes, you will arrive in Kobarid. After getting off the bus, head south towards the main road (Trg Svobode) and follow the signs to Lake Krn. It’s a short walk of about 15-20 minutes from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Kranjska Gora. From the center, head west on the main road (TGV) towards Kobarid. Follow the road for approximately 20 km. It will take you around 1-1.5 hours depending on your cycling speed. Upon reaching Kobarid, look for signs directing you to Lake Krn, and follow the path which will lead you to the lake.

Hiking
For the more adventurous, you can hike to Lake Krn. Start by taking the marked hiking trail from Kranjska Gora towards Kobarid. The trail is well-signposted and takes you through beautiful landscapes. It’s approximately a 2-3 hour hike, so wear good hiking shoes and bring water. Once you reach Kobarid, follow the directions to Lake Krn as previously mentioned.
