Walking

Start your journey at the central promenade in Portorož, near the beach area. Walk towards the northwest along the promenade until you reach the end where the road meets the main street, Obala. Turn left onto Obala and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Ulica 1. maja. Cross the street and head up Ulica 1. maja. This street will lead you uphill. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach a sign for Strunjan. Follow the signs indicating Strunjan, which will guide you towards the nature park. The path will eventually become a more gradual incline. Look for the signs directing you to Strunjan Cross. After about 30-40 minutes of walking, you will reach the cross, which is located at a scenic viewpoint offering beautiful views of the surrounding area.

Public Transport

From the center of Portorož, head to the nearest bus stop (which is typically located near the main promenade). You can take a local bus heading towards Strunjan. Make sure to check the bus schedule, as they may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the Strunjan stop, you will need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes uphill to reach the Strunjan Cross. Follow the signs for the nature park, and once you reach the entrance to the park, continue along the marked trails until you arrive at the cross.
