Bus
From Nova Gorica, head to the main bus station located at Ulica Tolminskih Puntarjev 4. Look for a bus that heads to Trieste; the ticket can be purchased at the station or online. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Trieste bus station, exit and walk towards the city center. Follow the signs to Piazza Sant'Antonio Nuovo, which is about a 15-minute walk straight down the main street, Corso Italia.
Train
Make your way to the Nova Gorica train station located on Ulica Vojvode Stepe 1. Board a train heading to Trieste. The train journey takes around 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Trieste Centrale train station, exit the station and head towards Piazzale della Libertà, then take a left onto Viale XX Settembre. Continue straight until you reach Piazza Sant'Antonio Nuovo, which is a 20-minute walk from the train station.
Walking
If you are already in the Nova Gorica city center, you can take a leisurely walk towards the border with Italy. Head towards the Franco-Slovene Bridge (Most na Soči), then cross into Italy. From there, it's about a 30-minute walk to Trieste. Once you’re in Trieste, navigate to Piazza Sant'Antonio Nuovo, which should be clearly marked on local maps.
