From Nova Gorica, take a bus from the Nova Gorica Bus Station (Avtobusna postaja Nova Gorica) to Trieste. Look for bus lines that head towards Trieste and board the bus. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Trieste Bus Station, exit the station and walk towards the nearby Piazza della Libertà. From there, you can catch the tram or continue walking.

If you prefer to walk, start from the center of Nova Gorica and head towards the main road leading to the border with Italy. Follow signs for the border crossing at Šempeter. After crossing the border into Italy, continue straight on Via Nazionale. This will lead you directly toward Trieste. Upon entering Trieste, navigate to Via del Teatro Romano and then make your way to Piazza della Cattedrale, where Castello di San Giusto is located.
