Bus
From the center of Nova Gorica, walk to the Nova Gorica bus station located on Gregorčičeva ulica. Catch the bus to Portorož; the journey takes about 40 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance. Once you arrive at the Portorož bus station, exit and head south on Obala road towards the coast. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you see the signs for Strunjan. Follow the road signs directing you towards Strunjan until you reach Kolesarska pot Parenzana at Strunjan 11.

Train and Bus
Begin your journey at the Nova Gorica train station. Take a train to Koper, which takes around 30 minutes. Once in Koper, exit the train station and walk to the Koper bus station, which is nearby. Catch a bus from Koper to Portorož; this trip will take another 30 minutes. Arriving at Portorož, walk south on Obala road for about 10 minutes until you reach the signs for Strunjan. Follow these signs to Kolesarska pot Parenzana located at Strunjan 11.

If you prefer walking, start from Nova Gorica’s main square, Trg Edvarda Kardelja, and head towards the border crossing into Italy. After crossing, follow the signs to coastal towns. This is a longer journey, approximately 30 kilometers, so it’s recommended only for those who are physically fit and prepared for a long hike. Follow the scenic routes towards Portorož, and upon reaching the town, make your way to Strunjan by following the coastal path until you reach Kolesarska pot Parenzana.

For the adventurous, you can rent a bicycle at one of the rental shops in Nova Gorica. Head towards the border and follow the designated cycling paths towards the coast. The route is approximately 30 kilometers and offers beautiful views along the way. Once you reach Portorož, continue following the cycling signs directing you to Strunjan and you will arrive at Kolesarska pot Parenzana at Strunjan 11.
