From the center of Nova Gorica, head southeast toward the main road, Ulica Tolminskih Puntarjev. Continue straight until you reach the train station, which is about a 15-minute walk. From the train station, follow signs for the bus station located nearby. Take the local bus towards Portorož. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Portorož, get off at the Strunjan bus stop. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk to Mesečev Zaliv. Head south on Strunjan 117, follow the road until you reach the entrance to the reserve.
Public Transport
Start at the Nova Gorica bus station, located in the city center. Purchase a ticket to Portorož. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 30 minutes. After arriving in Portorož, disembark at the Strunjan bus stop. From the bus stop, head towards Strunjan 117 by walking south for about 20 minutes along the main road, until you reach Mesečev Zaliv.
