Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Nova Gorica, start at the main bus station (Avtobusna postaja Nova Gorica). Head east on Gregorčičeva ulica towards the main square (Trg Edvarda Kardelja). Continue straight to the roundabout and take the first exit onto Koroška cesta. Follow Koroška cesta until you reach the border with Italy. Once you cross into Italy, continue straight onto Via Vittorio Veneto. After about 500 meters, take a right onto Viale Miramare. Miramare Castle will be on your left after approximately 1 kilometer.

  • Bus

    From Nova Gorica, walk to the main bus station (Avtobusna postaja Nova Gorica). Take the bus line 20 towards Trieste. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Miramare' stop. From there, walk along Viale Miramare for about 10 minutes, and you will see Miramare Castle on your left.

  • Train and Walking

    Head to the Nova Gorica train station. Take a train towards Trieste. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Trieste Centrale station, exit the station and walk towards Viale Repubblica. From there, take bus line 36 towards 'Miramare'. Get off at the 'Miramare' stop, and you will find the castle a short walk away on Viale Miramare.
