Public Bus
From Nova Gorica, head to the main bus station located at Železniška 6. Look for the bus line that goes to Portorož or Strunjan. Buses run regularly, so check the schedule at the station or on the local bus service website. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride, which typically takes about 1.5 hours. Get off at the Strunjan stop, which is the closest stop to the Nature Reserve. After disembarking, walk towards Strunjan 99, following signs or asking locals for directions if needed. The Nature Reserve will be a short walk from the bus stop.
Train and Bus
From Nova Gorica train station, take a train to the nearest major station, which is in Koper. Once you arrive in Koper, exit the train and head to the nearby bus station. Look for buses heading to Portorož or Strunjan. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Strunjan stop. From there, walk towards Strunjan 99, following directions or local signage. The Nature Reserve is easily accessible from the bus stop.
Walking
If you prefer a more adventurous route and are staying in a nearby area within walking distance, you can follow the coastal path along the Adriatic Sea. Head towards Portorož and continue along the promenade until you reach Strunjan. The walk can take several hours but offers stunning views of the coastline. Once you reach Strunjan, navigate towards Strunjan 99, which is marked and easy to find.
