Getting there

Bus

To reach Vipavski Križ from Nova Gorica, take the city bus from the main bus station in Nova Gorica. Look for routes heading towards Ajdovščina. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to get off at the stop for Vipavski Križ. From the bus stop, follow the main road towards the village center, which should be a short walk of about 10 minutes.

Train and Walking

Start by walking to the Nova Gorica train station, which is close to the city center. From there, take a train towards Ajdovščina. The train journey will take about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Ajdovščina station, exit the station and follow the signs to the bus station. From there, catch a local bus heading to Vipavski Križ, which should take around 15 minutes. Once you arrive, it's a short walk to the main attractions in the village.

Walking

If you prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route from Nova Gorica to Vipavski Križ. Start from the city center and head towards the east along the Soča River. Follow the river path until you reach the outskirts of Ajdovščina. Once there, continue following the signs towards Vipavski Križ. This is a longer route, approximately 8-10 kilometers, and will take about 2 hours, so ensure you have comfortable walking shoes and consider bringing water.
