Getting There

Walking
From the center of Portorož, head north towards the beach. When you reach the main road (Obala), turn left and follow the promenade along the Adriatic Sea. Continue walking until you reach the end of the promenade, where it turns into a road (Strma ulica). Follow this road uphill until you reach the intersection with the main road (Piran - Portorož road). Turn right onto this road and continue walking. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will see signs for Kanfanar. Keep an eye out for local buses that may pass by this route as you walk.

Bus
From Portorož, go to the bus station located near the center (close to the main square). Take a bus towards Pula or Rovinj, which stops in Kanfanar. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Kanfanar bus stop, you can either walk to Dvigrad ruins, which is around 4 kilometers away, or use local taxis that are usually available at the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the shops in Portorož. Start by heading north towards the main road (Obala) and then follow the same route as if walking, cycling along the promenade and taking Strma ulica uphill. Once you reach the main road (Piran - Portorož road), turn right and continue cycling towards Kanfanar. The total cycling distance is approximately 5 kilometers, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way.
