Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Portorož, head towards the beach promenade. Walk along the promenade towards the south until you reach the intersection with the main road (Šentjernej Street). Continue straight onto the main road, which will become a little busier. Follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Ulica 1. maja and continue for about 500 meters. You will see signs for Sečovlje/Sicciole Saltpans Nature Park. Follow the signs as you continue on this road for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the park at Parecag 290.

  • Bus

    From the main bus station in Portorož, take a local bus heading towards Sečovlje. Buses to Sečovlje run approximately every 30 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Sečovlje/Sicciole Saltpans. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the direction of the park entrance, which is about a 15-minute walk. Just follow the road signs to the park at Parecag 290.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike at one of the local rental shops in Portorož. From the promenade, follow the same route as walking, heading towards the beach promenade and then onto the main road (Šentjernej Street). Continue straight towards the roundabout and take the first exit onto Ulica 1. maja. Follow the road for approximately 2 kilometers until you see the signs for Sečovlje/Sicciole Saltpans Nature Park at Parecag 290.
