From Portorož, head to the nearest bus stop located on the main road along the sea. You can catch bus number 8 towards 'Koper'. Make sure to check the bus schedule beforehand as they may vary. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the 'Štanjel' stop. Once you exit the bus, follow the signs towards Štanjel Castle. It's a short walk uphill (about 10-15 minutes) through the village to reach the castle.
