    From the center of Portorož, head towards the coast along Obala street. Walk past the marina and continue walking along the waterfront promenade. You will eventually reach the main bus station in Portorož. From there, take a bus heading towards Trieste. The journey typically takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Trieste bus station, you can easily walk to the center of Trieste, which is about a 15-minute walk. Look for the main square, Piazza Unità d'Italia, which is a popular tourist spot.

    Start at the Portorož main bus station. Purchase a ticket for a bus to Trieste; several buses operate this route daily. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Trieste, follow the signs to the city center or ask locals for directions to Piazza Unità d'Italia, which is the heart of the city and close to many attractions.

    Bicycle Rental

    If you're feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Portorož. Head towards the coastal bike path that connects Portorož to Piran. Continue on the bike path until you reach Piran, then follow the signs towards the direction of Trieste. The ride will take you through beautiful coastal scenery, but be prepared for some uphill stretches. Once you reach the border, you will need to park your bike and walk the rest into Trieste.
