Getting There

Walking
From the center of Portorož, head towards the seaside promenade. Walk along the promenade in the direction of Piran. Continue along the promenade until you reach the end of Portorož, where the promenade intersects with a road leading towards Sečovlje. At this point, you will see signs for the Sečovlje Saltpans. Follow the road, which will lead you up and away from the coastline. You will pass by some local shops and cafés. Continue walking until you reach the Parecag area, where you will find the entrance to Sečovlje/Sicciole Saltpans Nature Park at Parecag 290. The total walking distance is about 4 km and will take approximately 50-60 minutes.

Public Transport
From Portorož, walk to the nearest bus stop located on the main road (the bus stop is usually near the Hotel Riviera). Take the local bus towards Sečovlje. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Sečovlje (ask the driver to notify you when you arrive). After getting off the bus, walk towards the direction of the Saltpans, following signs for the Sečovlje Saltpans. It is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the entrance at Parecag 290.
