    If you are in Postojna, start at the Postojna Bus Station. Exit the station and walk straight along the main road (Tržaška cesta) towards the town center. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the roundabout. Continue straight through the roundabout onto the Tržaška cesta street. After approximately 500 meters, you will see signs for the train station. Follow the signs and walk towards the train station (Železniška postaja Postojna). From there, take a train to Ljubljana. The train ride takes about 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at Ljubljana train station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Slovenska cesta. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Muzejska ulica. Turn left onto Muzejska ulica, and you will find the Narodni muzej Slovenije at number 1.

  • Bus

    From Postojna, head to the Postojna Bus Station. Purchase a ticket to Ljubljana, which is a direct route. The bus journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Ljubljana Bus Station, exit the station and walk straight to the nearby train station (Železniška postaja Ljubljana). From there, you can take a local tram or walk to the museum. If you prefer walking, head towards the center of Ljubljana by walking along Trg Osvobodilne fronte, then continue onto Slovenska cesta. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Muzejska ulica and the museum will be on your right at number 1.

    After arriving at the Ljubljana Bus Station from Postojna, head to the nearby train station (Železniška postaja Ljubljana). From there, you can catch a tram. Take tram line 1 or 3 towards 'Špica' or 'Kranjski Princ' respectively. Get off at the 'Muzejski kompleks' stop. From there, it's just a short walk; head down Muzejska ulica and you will find the Narodni muzej Slovenije at number 1.
