Getting There

Walking
Starting from the center of Ptuj, head towards the main square, Trg Republike. From the square, take the street that leads to the northeast, which is called Ulica heroja Zidanška. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Na Gradu Street. Turn left onto Na Gradu Street. Ptuj Castle is located at the end of this street at Na Gradu 1. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes.

From the Ptuj bus station, exit and head towards the main road, which is Trg Republike. Look for a local bus that goes towards the castle area. Although public transport may not have direct routes to the castle, you can ask the driver for the nearest stop to Ptuj Castle. Once you get off, follow the directions for walking as described above from the nearest bus stop to Na Gradu Street.
