Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Savinja. Head northwest on the main road towards the town of Kamnik. After approximately 20 minutes, you will reach the outskirts of Kamnik. Follow signs for Velika Planina. The road will lead you up into the mountains. Once you arrive at Velika Planina, park your car at the designated parking area. Note that there may be a parking fee of around €5 per day. From the parking area, you can take a cable car to reach the top, and then it's a short hike to Vrtovkot, located at Velika Planina 50.

Public Transportation
To reach Vrtovkot via public transport, start by taking a bus from Savinja to Kamnik. Buses run regularly, and the fare is approximately €2-€3. Once you arrive in Kamnik, you will need to take a taxi or a local shuttle service to the base of Velika Planina. The taxi fare can range from €10 to €15 depending on your negotiation skills and time of day. From the base, you can take the cable car to the top of Velika Planina. After exiting the cable car, a short hike will bring you to Vrtovkot at Velika Planina 50.
