Getting there

Car

From Savinja, head southwest towards the A1 motorway. Merge onto the A1 in the direction of Postojna. After approximately 30 km, take exit 41 for Postojna. Continue on Route 6 for about 10 km, following signs to Predjama. You will see the castle on your right as you approach Predjama village. There is parking available near the castle for a small fee.

Public Transportation

Take a bus from Savinja to Postojna. Buses are operated by local services and typically run every hour. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Postojna bus station, look for a connecting bus to Predjama, which departs several times a day. The bus ride to Predjama takes approximately 15 minutes. Keep an eye on the bus schedules, as they may vary on weekends and holidays.

Walking

If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore the area, you can walk from the Predjama bus stop to the castle. It is about a 20-minute walk (1.5 km) along a scenic path. Just follow the signs to Predjama Castle once you get off the bus.
