Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Sežana, head northeast on Trg Svobode towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit to continue on the main road, which is Route 103. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the border with Italy. Once you cross the border, continue straight onto Via di Santa Croce. After about 1 kilometer, turn right onto Via del Porto. Keep following this road until you reach the intersection with Via G. G. Belli. Take a left onto Via G. G. Belli, and after about 300 meters, you will see the signs for Parco della Rimembranza. Follow the signs into the park, and the Trieste War Memorial will be located inside the park.

    From Sežana, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Trg Svobode. Take Bus number 1 towards Trieste. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the 'Trieste Centro' stop. From there, walk towards the waterfront and follow the signs to Parco della Rimembranza. It is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Head east on Riva 3 Novembre, turn left onto Via della Libertà, then take a right onto Via G. G. Belli. The entrance to the park will be on your left.
