Getting There

  • Car

    From Škocjan Caves, get onto the H4 highway from the entrance of the cave area. Follow signs for the H4 towards Postojna. After approximately 17 km, merge onto the A1 highway towards Ljubljana/Postojna. Continue for about 10 km, then take the exit for Postojna. Follow the signs to Jamska cesta, and you will arrive at Postojna Cave located at Jamska cesta 30, 6230 Postojna. Parking is available on-site, but it may incur a fee, typically around €5 for the day.

    From Škocjan Caves, walk to the nearest bus stop (located near the entrance). Take a bus towards Postojna; the journey usually takes about 30-40 minutes. Buses run multiple times a day. Once you arrive in Postojna, walk from the bus station to Jamska cesta, which is approximately a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs to Postojna Cave.
