From the center of Škofja Loka, head towards the Škofja Loka bus station. Once you reach the bus station, take bus number 6 towards Ljubljana. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at the Ljubljana bus station, exit the station and walk towards the main road, Trg Osvobodilne Fronte. From there, take a left onto Celovška cesta. Continue on Celovška cesta for about 1.5 kilometers. The National Museum of Contemporary History will be on your right, at number 23.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Škofja Loka and head towards the main road to Ljubljana. Follow the cycling path that runs parallel to the main road. This route will lead you directly to Ljubljana. Upon reaching Ljubljana, navigate to the Celovška cesta by following the signs. The museum is located at Celovška cesta 23, and you will find bike racks available near the entrance.
