Head east on the main highway (Honiara - Auki Highway) for about 5 kilometers until you reach the junction at the Honiara City Center. Turn right onto the road leading to Lela Beach. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Lela Beach. The beach is located at the end of the road, with parking available nearby.
Public Bus
To reach Lela Beach via public transportation, take a bus from Honiara to the eastern part of Guadalcanal. Buses often leave from the main bus terminal located in the city center. Look for buses heading to Auki or those specifically labeled 'Lela Beach'. The fare is typically around 5-10 SB dollars. After about 30-40 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at the Lela Beach stop. From the stop, it's a short walk down to the beach.
Taxi
For a more direct and comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Honiara to Lela Beach. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should range between 50-100 SB dollars. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of Lela Beach, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery.
