Getting There

Car
From the main entrance of Addo Elephant National Park, head east on the R335 road. Continue on R335 for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the N2 highway. Turn right onto the N2 highway towards Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). After about 10 kilometers, take the exit for the R335 towards Uitenhage. Follow the R335 for about 15 kilometers. You will see signs for Alexandria Dune Field. Turn onto the dirt road that leads to the dunes (make sure to check the road conditions as it can be rough). There is no entrance fee for the Alexandria Dune Field, but be cautious as some areas may require a 4x4 vehicle depending on recent weather conditions.
