Getting There

• Car

  From Battlefields, head south on the R34 towards Newcastle. Continue on the R34 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the N11. Turn right onto the N11 and drive for about 10 kilometers. Take the exit toward the R601, which will lead you into Newcastle. Follow signs for Majuba Mountain, which is approximately 20 kilometers from Newcastle. You will see signs directing you to the mountain. Note: Ensure your vehicle is fueled up before the trip, as there may be limited fuel stations near the mountain.

  From Battlefields, take a taxi or shuttle service to Newcastle. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. Once in Newcastle, you can hire a local taxi (ensure it is a registered taxi) or use ride-sharing services to reach Majuba Mountain, which is about 20 kilometers from the city center.   If you are dropped off at the nearest accessible point to Majuba Mountain, be prepared for a hike. The mountain is a historical site, and the paths may not be well-marked.
