    Getting There

    Car

    From the Battlefields area, head southwest on the N3 towards Ladysmith. Continue on the N3 for approximately 130 km until you reach the intersection with the N11. Turn left onto the N11 and follow the signs towards the town of Colesberg. After about 160 km, merge onto the N1 towards Gariep Dam. After passing Gariep Dam, continue on the N1 for another 80 km until you reach the turnoff for the R382. Take the R382 and follow it for about 50 km until you reach the town of Norvalspont. From Norvalspont, take the R358 towards the Richtersveld National Park. The park entrance is approximately 120 km away, so be prepared for a longer drive on gravel roads. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for off-road conditions. Entry to Richtersveld National Park may incur a fee, so check the current rates beforehand.

    Starting from Battlefields, take a bus from the local terminal to Ladysmith. The bus journey takes about 2 hours. Once in Ladysmith, transfer to a bus heading towards Colesberg.
