After entering the reserve, follow the main road until you see signs for The River Lodge. The lodge is located within the reserve, so keep an eye out for further directional signs.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from the central bus station in Battlefields to Hoedspruit. Buses run regularly, and the fare is approximately R50. Upon reaching Hoedspruit, you will need to arrange for a taxi or shuttle service to Thornybush Private Nature Reserve, as public transport does not reach directly into the reserve.
