Walking
Start your journey at the Bloemfontein City Hall, located at 1 George Street, Bloemfontein. From the City Hall, head south on George Street towards Aliwal Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Aliwal Street, then turn right onto Aliwal Street. Walk along Aliwal Street until you reach the Bloemfontein Railway Station. From the station, take the M1 bus towards Thaba Nchu. Disembark at the stop near the intersection of Manguang and Donegal Roads. From there, walk along Donegal Road to reach the entrance of Donegal Small Holdings, where the Volksie Museum is located. Be sure to have an appointment beforehand to ensure your visit.

Begin at the Bloemfontein Bus Terminal located at 1st Avenue, Bloemfontein. Board a local taxi or minibus heading towards Donegal. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Donegal Small Holdings. After approximately 15-20 minutes, get off at Donegal Road. Once you exit, walk along Donegal Road until you reach the Volksie Museum. Remember to have your appointment confirmed prior to your visit.

If you are cycling, start your route from the Bloemfontein Botanical Gardens. Head east on the R64 towards the city center. Continue until you reach Aliwal Street and then turn left. Cycle down Aliwal Street until you arrive at the Bloemfontein Railway Station. From there, take the M1 bus towards Thaba Nchu. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Manguang and Donegal Roads.
