Starting from the main entrance of Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve, head southeast on the R532 towards the town of Graskop. After approximately 16 km, turn right onto the R36 road towards Lydenburg. Continue on the R36 for about 40 km until you reach the junction with the R540. Turn left onto the R540 and follow the signs towards Mpumalanga B. After about 15 km, turn right onto Kunene Road. Matlatse Canyon Provincial Nature Reserve will be on your left at 42 Kunene Road.
