From any point in Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve, head towards the R532 road. If you are at the Blyde River Canyon viewpoint, exit the viewpoint area and turn left onto the R532. Continue on the R532 for approximately 16 km until you reach the T-junction. At the T-junction, turn left onto the R36 road. Drive for about 8 km, and you will see signs indicating Blyderivierpoort Dam. Follow the signs for about 5 km, and you will arrive at the Blyderivierpoort Dam entrance. Note that there may be a small entrance fee, typically around R20 per vehicle.
