Getting There

Car
To reach the Wreck of the Kakapo from central Cape Town, get onto the M3 highway from the city center. Follow the M3 until it merges with the M64, then continue on the M64 towards Noordhoek. Once in Noordhoek, take the exit for Noordhoek Beach and follow the signs to Beach Road. The wreck is located along the beach, and there is parking available nearby. Please note that parking may incur a fee, generally around ZAR 10-20.

Public Transportation (Bus)
Catch the MyCiTi bus from Cape Town city center towards Hout Bay. You will need to transfer at Hout Bay to the bus heading to Noordhoek (look for routes 113 or 113A). Disembark at the Noordhoek Beach stop on Beach Road. From there, you can walk towards the beach where the wreck is visible. The bus fare will be approximately ZAR 30-50 depending on your starting point.

Walking
If you are already in Noordhoek and prefer to walk, you can easily reach the Wreck of the Kakapo by walking along Beach Road. The wreck is about a 30-minute walk from the Noordhoek Village area. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as it can get hot during the day.
