Car
To reach Silvermine Nature Reserve by car, start from the center of Cape Town. Take the N1 highway towards the Southern Suburbs. Merge onto the M3 highway and continue until you reach the end of the highway. Follow the signs for the M42 towards Muizenberg. Turn left onto the M42, then take a right onto the R44 (Main Road) towards Fish Hoek. Continue on the R44 and turn left onto Silvermine Road, which will take you directly into the reserve. There is an entrance fee of approximately R40 per car (check current rates before your visit).

From the center of Cape Town, take the Metrorail train from Cape Town Station to Simon's Town. The train journey takes about 60 minutes. Once you arrive at Simon's Town, you can catch a MyCiTi bus (Route 101) towards Fish Hoek. Get off at the Silvermine Nature Reserve stop. Be sure to check the current bus schedule for timings. Note that there is an entrance fee of approximately R40 per person to enter the reserve.
