Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head towards the Cape Town City Centre. From the N1 or N2 highways, follow the signs for the M3 which leads directly into the city. Once in the city, take the exit for Buitengracht Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Long Street. Turn left onto Long Street, then take a right onto Wale Street. Follow Wale Street until it merges into Upper Adderley Street. The Original Shoreline is located at Cape Town City Centre, 8000. Look for street parking or use nearby parking facilities. Note that parking fees may apply, typically ranging from ZAR 10 to ZAR 20 per hour.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take the MyCiTi bus service from various locations around Cape Town. If you are near the V&A Waterfront, board the bus heading towards the Civic Centre. Alight at the Civic Centre stop, which is a short walk from The Original Shoreline. From the Civic Centre, walk down Adderley Street towards the east. Cross over to Wale Street and continue until you reach The Original Shoreline. A MyCiTi bus ticket costs around ZAR 11 for a single trip.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the Cape Town City Centre, walking is a great option. From the Company's Garden, head towards the east along Queen Victoria Street, continuing until you reach Wale Street. Turn left onto Wale Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Upper Adderley Street. The Original Shoreline will be on your right. This route is approximately a 15-minute walk, so wear comfortable shoes!
