From there, take the road leading northeast, following the signs towards the De Hel Nature Area. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers, which will take you through beautiful landscapes. Keep an eye out for any signage indicating the direction to De Hel. Once you reach the entrance of De Hel Nature Area, you may need to pay an entrance fee of around R50 per vehicle.
Public Transportation
Using public transport may be a bit more challenging as there are limited options available directly to De Hel Nature Area. The nearest bus stop is located in Swellendam. From there, you would need to arrange a taxi or shuttle service to take you to De Hoop Nature Reserve. Once in the reserve, follow the same directions as above for car travelers to reach De Hel Nature Area. Be prepared for additional costs for the taxi or shuttle service, which could range from R200 to R400 depending on the provider.
