There is no entrance fee to access the Kasteelspoort trail.

To reach Kasteelspoort by public transport, take the MyCiTi bus route to the Kloof Nek bus stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along Kloof Nek Road towards the Kasteelspoort entrance. This walk will take around 20 minutes. Ensure you have a MyCiTi card to pay for your bus fare, which typically costs around ZAR 10-15. After reaching the Kasteelspoort parking area, the trailhead will be clearly marked.

If you are already hiking in the area and wish to reach Kasteelspoort, you can follow the signs from the nearby Platteklip Gorge trail. Head towards the main road (Kloof Nek Road) and walk downhill for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Kasteelspoort entrance. This will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace.
