If you're traveling by car, head towards the Drakensberg region. From the N3 highway, take the R617 exit towards Underberg. Follow the R617 until you reach the town of Himeville. From Himeville, take the Sani Pass road which will lead you into the Drakensberg area. Continue on this road until you reach the parking area for Pillar Cave. Look for signage directing you to the cave, which is a short hike from the parking area.

Once in Himeville, you can take a taxi or local shuttle service to reach the Sani Pass road. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to the Pillar Cave hiking trail. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along the marked trail to reach the cave.
