    From central Durban, head to the Durban Bus Terminal located at 191 Dr Pixley Kaseme Street. Look for the buses heading towards Umhlanga. You can take the 'UMHLANGA' bus. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Umhlanga Rocks stop, which is a short walk from uMhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve. From the bus stop, walk along Lagoon Drive, then turn left onto the entrance of the reserve.

    If you are at the beach front or in the Umhlanga area, you can easily find local rickshaws. Simply ask the driver to take you to uMhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve located in Hawaan. The ride will be short and scenic, taking about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.

    If you are already in Umhlanga, walking to uMhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve is a pleasant option. Starting from the Umhlanga Village, head towards the beach along Lighthouse Road.
