    If you are driving from Sandton, take the M1 highway south. Follow the signs for Johannesburg and continue on the M1 for about 18 kilometers. Take the exit toward Newtown from the M1. Once you exit, turn left onto Miriam Makeba Street. Continue on Miriam Makeba Street until you reach the intersection with Helen Joseph Street. The Sci-Bono Discovery Centre will be on your left. There is parking available nearby.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre using public transportation, start by taking the Gautrain from any station in Gauteng to Park Station in Johannesburg. Upon arrival at Park Station, exit the station and head to the nearby bus terminal. Take the Metrobus 18 route towards Newtown. Get off at the stop for Helen Joseph Street. From there, walk to the corner of Miriam Makeba and Helen Joseph Streets, where the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre is located.

  • Car

    If you are coming from Pretoria, take the N1 highway towards Johannesburg. Merge onto the M2 highway and continue until you reach the exit for the M1. Take the M1 south and follow the directions as mentioned above, turning off at the Newtown exit and navigating to Miriam Makeba Street. Look for the Centre on your left.

  • Public Transportation

    From Soweto, take a taxi to the Johannesburg Park Station. Once at Park Station, follow the earlier instructions to take the Metrobus 18 route towards Newtown. Alight at the stop on Helen Joseph Street, and walk to the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre at the intersection with Miriam Makeba Street.
