If you're driving from Johannesburg, take the N1 highway and head towards the N14. Use the exit for the N14 towards Krugersdorp. Continue on the N14 for approximately 15 km. Look for the R563 exit towards Kromdraai. Turn left onto R563 and continue for about 7 km. Follow the signs to Sterkfontein Caves. There is a parking area available on-site, and parking is usually free.

To reach Sterkfontein Caves using public transport, take the Gautrain from Johannesburg to the Krugersdorp station. The fare is approximately R90. From Krugersdorp, you can take a taxi (approximately R200) or an Uber to the caves. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your trip. The distance is about 20 km, so the taxi ride will take around 25-30 minutes.
