Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving within Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, start by navigating to the main road leading to Hluhluwe Bush Camp. From the main entrance of the park, follow the signs toward Hluhluwe. After approximately 15 kilometers, look for the sign indicating the turnoff for Hluhluwe Bush Camp. Turn left onto the gravel road, and continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the camp. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for gravel roads, as some parts may be uneven.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Hluhluwe Bush Camp via public transportation, you will first need to take a bus or shuttle from Durban to Hluhluwe town. Buses like Greyhound or Intercape operate this route. Once in Hluhluwe, you can arrange for a private taxi or a shuttle service to take you to Hluhluwe Bush Camp. It is advisable to pre-arrange this service, as public transport options may be limited directly to the camp. The distance from Hluhluwe town to the camp is about 20 kilometers.

  If you find yourself near the entrance of Hluhluwe Bush Camp and wish to walk, it is important to note that it is generally not safe to walk long distances in the park due to wildlife. However, if you are in a safe area close to the camp, you may walk the last few hundred meters. Always ensure you are in a group and consult with park rangers about safety before attempting to walk in the park.
