If you are in the central area of Johannesburg, start by heading towards the nearby M1 highway. Walk to the closest Gautrain station, either Park Station or Rosebank Station. Once at Park Station, board the Gautrain towards Sandton. Get off at the Rosebank Station. From Rosebank Station, exit and head towards the Rosebank Mall. Follow the signs to the bus stop for the Rea Vaya bus services.

Take the Rea Vaya bus (BRT) route B1 towards the Johannesburg Park Station. You will need to get off at the stop called 'Houghton'. After you disembark, walk towards Houghton Drive. The Wilds Nature Reserve entrance is a short walk from the bus stop, located at Houghton Drive.

Once you arrive at Houghton Drive, continue walking along the street. You will find the entrance to The Wilds Nature Reserve on your left. Look for the signage indicating the reserve. The entrance is pedestrian-friendly, and there will be clear pathways leading into the park.
