If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Phalaborwa. Head northeast on the R71 road. After approximately 15 kilometers, turn onto the D1916 road. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the Grietjie Private Nature Reserve. Be sure to pay the entrance fee at the gate, which is roughly ZAR 100 per vehicle. Once inside, follow the signs to Farm 76, where Ngalali Retreat is located. The drive through the reserve is scenic and offers opportunities to see wildlife.

After that, it is advisable to arrange for a local guide or further transport within the reserve, as public transport does not operate inside.
