If you are driving from the center of Waterberg, start by heading south on the R33 road towards Vaalwater. After approximately 30 km, take the turn onto the R516 towards Thabazimbi. Continue on the R516 for about 40 km. You will see signs for Mkhombo Nature Reserve. Turn left onto the gravel road that leads to the reserve. Follow the road for about 10 km until you reach the entrance of Mkhombo Nature Reserve. Please note that there may be a small entrance fee, so have cash ready.

To reach Mkhombo Nature Reserve via public transport, you can take a bus from Waterberg to Vaalwater. Once you arrive in Vaalwater, you will need to hire a taxi or arrange for a local shuttle service to take you the remaining 30 km to the reserve.
