Discovering Lady's Island: The Heart of Beaufort

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Beaufort, you can start at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. From the park, head east on Bay Street until you reach the intersection with Carteret Street. Turn left onto Carteret Street and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You'll pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Once you reach the end of Carteret Street, turn right onto Sea Island Parkway. Continue straight for about 1.5 miles. Lady's Island Center will be on your left at 102 Sea Island Parkway.

• Public Transit

  From downtown Beaufort, you can take the local bus service. Look for the Beaufort County Public Transit bus that goes towards Lady's Island. Board the bus at any designated stop along the main routes. Inform the driver that you're heading to Lady's Island Center. The bus will make several stops, and you should disembark at the Lady's Island Center stop, which is near the address 102 Sea Island Parkway. • Biking

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in downtown Beaufort. Start at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park and head east on Bay Street. Continue until you reach Carteret Street, where you will turn left. Follow Carteret Street until it ends, then turn right onto Sea Island Parkway. Bike along Sea Island Parkway for about 1.5 miles, and you will see Lady's Island Center on your left at 102 Sea Island Parkway.
