Take the exit toward Folly Beach/James Island and merge onto SC-30 East. Follow SC-30 for approximately 4 miles, then turn left onto Fort Johnson Road. Continue on Fort Johnson Road for about 1 mile until you reach Fort Johnson, located on your right. Parking is available on-site.

To reach Fort Johnson by public transport, you can take the CARTA bus #30 (James Island) from downtown Charleston. Board the bus at any of the designated stops in the downtown area. The bus will take you directly towards James Island. Get off at the stop nearest to Fort Johnson on Fort Johnson Road.
