Bus
Start at the Fort Mill Park & Ride located at 1000 Market St, Fort Mill, SC 29708. Board the bus number 47 towards Charlotte. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the 'Charlotte Transportation Center' stop in downtown Charlotte. From there, walk to 6th St. Head west on W Trade St towards N Tryon St, then turn left onto N Tryon St. Finally, turn right onto W 6th St and walk about 5 minutes to reach Discovery Place Science at 168 W 6th St.

Bike
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike-share program in Fort Mill. Start from the Fort Mill Town Center, head north on Main St, and continue to follow the bike lanes towards the border of South Carolina into North Carolina. You will cross over the Catawba River using the pedestrian bridge. Once in Charlotte, follow the bike lanes to 6th St. Discovery Place Science is located at 168 W 6th St. The bike ride takes approximately 40 minutes.

Walking
For those who enjoy walking, start from the Fort Mill Town Center. Head north on Main St, and continue straight until you reach the Catawba River. Use the pedestrian bridge to cross into North Carolina. After crossing, follow the path that leads you into Charlotte. Once you reach downtown, continue walking on N Tryon St, then turn right onto W 6th St. Discovery Place Science will be on your left at 168 W 6th St. The walk will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
