From any point within Francis Marion National Forest, head south toward SC-402. Follow SC-402 until you reach US-17. Merge onto US-17 South and continue for approximately 15 miles. Take the exit for SC-165 toward Summerville. Continue on SC-165 for about 6 miles. Turn left onto State Park Rd. After approximately 1 mile, you will reach Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site located at 300 State Park Rd, Summerville, SC 29485.
