To reach Magnolia Plantation and Gardens from downtown Mount Pleasant, you can take the Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) bus route. Start by walking to the nearest bus stop; if you are in the vicinity of the Mount Pleasant Town Centre, head to the bus stop located at 1000 Oakland Market Rd. Board the bus number 40 towards the Charleston Area Convention Center. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Angus Smith Rd @ Magnolia Plantation'. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the entrance of Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike at one of the local rental shops in Mount Pleasant. Start your ride from the Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park, heading south on the Ravenel Bridge Path. After crossing the bridge, continue onto East Bay Street and follow the signs directing you towards US-17 South. Then, take a right onto SC-61 and follow it for about 6 miles. The plantation will be on your right. Make sure to follow bike lanes and stay safe.

For those who enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route from the center of Mount Pleasant. Start at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. Head south on the waterfront path which leads you through the park. Continue towards the Ravenel Bridge, which you will cross. After crossing, turn left onto East Bay Street and walk along it until you reach SC-61. From there, follow SC-61 for about 2 miles until you see the signs for Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. This walk is approximately 5 miles and offers beautiful views of the area.
